Enquire NowOur specialist for women over 50 is a female personal trainer with 6 years of experience. She is ACE-certified, a dietician and a resistance training specialist. Her clients range from women who have never lifted a weight to former athletes rebuilding after years away.
Her belief is simple: it’s never too late to get stronger, and the women who start in their 50s often see the biggest change in how they feel.
“The women who start strength training in their 50s often tell me they wish they’d started sooner. It’s never too late to get stronger.”Female personal trainer for women over 50, Cover Story
Without strength training, muscle declines steadily with age. Keeping it means keeping your independence, your metabolism and your shape.
After menopause, bone density falls faster. Lifting weights and eating enough protein and calcium are among the most effective things you can do to protect your bones.
Stronger legs and hips mean better balance, fewer aches and more confidence on stairs, uneven paths and long travel days.
Most women find that consistent training and better eating give them more energy for the things they care about: travel, grandchildren, work and adventures.
Cover Story is online personal training for women in their 40s and 50s. Your coach is live on video for the full length of every session.
We talk through your health, history, goals and any medical guidance you’ve been given.
Strength work that respects your joints and builds gradually, plus nutrition focused on protein, calcium and steady energy.
Your coach watches every movement and adjusts in real time, so you train safely at home or in your condo gym.
We track strength, balance, energy and how you feel, not just the scale.
Protein needs rise with age, because the body becomes less efficient at using it to build muscle. Most women over 50 do best with protein at every meal, plenty of calcium-rich foods such as tofu, leafy greens, dairy or fortified soya milk, and enough overall food to fuel their training. Crash diets do the most harm at this age, because they strip muscle you can’t afford to lose. Programmes run for 12 weeks, 6 months or 12 months.
No. Women in their 60s and beyond build strength with the right programme. Starting is what matters.
We work with women at some stage of osteopenia and osteoporosis. Many women with low bone density benefit from carefully planned strength training. Get clearance from your doctor first, and tell us any guidance you’ve been given.
Exercises are chosen and adjusted for your joints. Your coach is with you live for the whole session, so anything uncomfortable gets changed straight away.
It’s a simple video call. We’ll help you set up your phone or laptop before your first session.
